Sebastian opened Xul Architecture in 2008. His unique understanding of the design and building processes allow him to analyse the close relation between design and cost, ensuring his projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest possible specifications.
He is interested in researching different ways of introducing natural light to architecture and our projects offer the ideal testing platform.
Prior to opening Xul, Sebastian qualified as an Architect in Argentina, and worked in a number of architectural practices in both Buenos Aires and the UK.
Maia is one of the founding partners at XUL Architecture. Her role as Business Director is to focus on business strategy, sales and the operational aspects of the practice. Having a strong infrastructure will allow the company to continue to deliver great quality architecture projects effectively and efficiently.
Prior to working at XUL Architecture, Maia worked for 11 years at Space Syntax Limited, a design consultancy that provides expertise in urban planning, transport, building design, social interaction and spatial economics.
Maia qualified as an architect in Peru and in 2003 continued her academic training at University College London (UCL), where she completed an MSc in Advanced Architectural Studies.
Christian is the creative director and responsible for office production, output, drawing package organisation, general project management and quality control. His previous experience in high profile offices is reflected at Xul Architecture in his attention to detail, internal management and co-ordination between consultants and clients.
Prior to start working at Xul Architecture in 2010, Christian worked at David Chipperfield Architects, Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners and John McAslan and Partners.
Christian qualified as an architect in Spain, at the Universitat Politecnica d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB).
Office Manager / PA
Sharon joined XUL Architecture in 2016 as an Office Manager. She is a resourceful and organised office manager with financial expertise and versatile administrative support skill set developed through over 25 years of experience. Sharon has successfully managed the daily operations of many demanding offices and has exceptional skills in setting up office policies, developing and implementing office procedures.
Ingmar deals with a full range of architectural services, from formulation of the brief through design development, to completion of projects on site. He is responsible for coordinating the team design, contract and job administration, project programming and negotiating Planning, Building Regulations and consultants.
Prior to joining XUL, Ingmar worked for over 14 years as an architect in London during which time he acquired extensive experience. Ingmar qualified as an architect in Germany and continued his academic training at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (University of Glasgow), where he completed an M.Arch degree course in Conservation Studies.
Sara is one of the senior members of our team, contributing to projects from their early stages to completion. Sara is particularly interested in architectural and interior design, listening to the clients’ personal preferences to come up with interesting, tailor-made solutions.
Before joining Xul Architecture in 2011, Sara worked at a local practice in Barcelona for 5 years. She qualified as an architect at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (ETSAB) and is ARB qualified in the UK.
As a result of her combined degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Architecture, Yaiza has a particular understanding of the technical aspects and processes of a project. This sets the foundations for good design and functionality.
Before joining XUL Architecture in 2015, Yaiza worked at a local practice specialised in residential projects. In 2013 she obtained an MBA in Architectural Management and Design in Madrid and worked on residential masterplans and large scale projects at a local practice.
Yaiza qualified as an architect in Valencia, at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU, and became a registered Architect in the UK in 2016.
Mark is an ARB registered Architect who has 5 years’ experience completing projects across all RIBA plan of work stages in England and Scotland. He has experience in the residential, commercial, cultural and refurbishment sectors. Prior to joining XUL in 2016, he completed several high-end residential projects in Ascot and Virginia Water.
Mark completed his architectural studies at the University of Dundee before qualifying as an Architect at The Bartlett, University College London. Mark is passionate about regenerating our existing building stock, which is evident from his 2012 Masters project where he recorded Harland and Wolff’s derelict Drawing offices in Belfast, where the Titanic was designed. His drawings are now archived in the Monument and Building Records Office in Northern Ireland for future public reference.
Sanam completed BA (Hons) in Architecture from the prestigious University of Pune, qualifying as an architect in March 2009 in India.
Prior to joining XUL, Sanam worked with award winning practices in India and UK where she worked on a range of projects of various scales in residential and commercial sectors from inception to completion.
Sanam took a short training of Earthen Construction Techniques at The Auroville Earth Institute and later she was awarded a scholarship from the University of Bath, Faculty of Engineering and Design where she studied an MSc in Environmental Design gaining relevant sustainability awareness skills.
Esha has a strong passion for creative design and brings to our team her invaluable experience of leading projects on top London properties. Her originality and fresh ideas deliver dynamic yet thoughtful interiors that serve the individual needs of our clients.
Prior to XUL, she worked at MHZ in London and various projects internationally. Esha holds a degree in Architecture and carried out her postgraduate degree in Interior and Living Design from the Domus academy in Milan.
Aaron supports the design team at various stages throughout the design process. Before joining XUL in 2016, Aaron worked for a large multinational architectural practice with a broad range of sectors including residential, government and technology. Aaron has experience working on projects of various scales from large mixed use masterplans to one off dwellings in rural environments, both in the UK and Ireland.
Aaron completed his Masters in Architectural at Queen’s University Belfast in 2014, were he developed clear communication and design skills.
