A rear extension in NW11
Located in North West London, our clients commissioned us for a full refurbishment of this archetypal semi-detached family house together with building a new rear extension to replace the existing conservatory.
Being against the boundary with the neighbours, the right of light was one of the main concerns for obtaining planning permission. While developing the volume, the archetypal shape with a tilted roof was adopted to grant an interesting neat volume with high ceiling height for the kitchen, and a geometry which joins the existing levels so that the extension would be a link to the different site’s elements.
