300+ projects completed in Barnet, Brent, Camden and Haringey

We have worked on a number of boroughs in London. Most of our work is in Camden, Barnet, Haringey and Westminster, which are some of the most challenging boroughs in terms of Planning.

In any case we always do detailed research on any local constraints and regulations. On complicated projects and/or listed buildings we often work closely with a  planning consultant. We are used to working on listed buildings and conservation areas.

How we work

It can be a challenge to keep up with all the stages involved in designing and building or renovating a home. Our step-by-step method makes it easier.

We’ve created a platform (a bit like Dropbox) so you have every bit of information about your project at the click of a button. That means we’re all on the same page, and you’ll be able to put your hands on the plans and timeline exactly when you need them.

By explaining every stage carefully, we ensure that even if you’ve never worked with an architect before, you’ll feel confident, happy, and inspired – without fear of losing control of time or budget.

And we’re ingenious and innovative, not only in our design, but also in overcoming any hurdles in the logistics of your project. We’ll bring all our ideas out into the light and we’ll always take a ‘can do’ approach – but at the same time we’ll be clear and honest with you if something needs to be rethought.

Because while a beautiful home is the aim, it’s just as much about enjoying the journey to get there.

Advice on Home Renovations in Gerrards Cross

When it comes to home renovations in Gerrards Cross, a town renowned for its elegant homes and high property values, it’s essential to approach the process with care and consideration. Whether you’re looking to modernise your home or enhance its character, here are some crucial tips to keep in mind.

Understand the Local Market

Before embarking on a renovation project, it’s crucial to understand the local market and what types of renovations add the most value. In Gerrards Cross, buyers typically value well-appointed kitchens, luxury bathrooms, spacious rooms, and high-quality finishes. Aim to align your renovation plans with these preferences to ensure your improvements enhance your home’s appeal and value.

Respect the Property’s Character

Many homes in Gerrards Cross carry a certain architectural charm that contributes to the area’s overall appeal. If your property is among these, try to preserve its unique features when renovating. This doesn’t mean you can’t modernise – instead, aim for a balance between maintaining the property’s character and adding modern conveniences.

Prioritise High-Value Renovations

Certain renovation projects are more likely to increase your home’s value than others. High-value renovations often include creating open-plan living spaces, updating kitchens and bathrooms, and adding or improving outdoor living spaces. Consider these types of improvements first to get the most return on your investment.

Hire Reputable Professionals

Given the high standards and values of homes in Gerrards Cross, it’s crucial to hire reputable, experienced professionals for your renovation project. This isn’t an area where cutting corners will pay off. Instead, invest in high-quality workmanship to ensure your renovations stand the test of time and meet the expectations of discerning buyers.

Navigate Planning Permissions

Depending on the extent of your renovations, you may need to secure planning permission. For example, significant structural changes, large extensions, and alterations to listed buildings generally require approval. It’s crucial to understand local planning regulations and secure necessary permissions to avoid potential issues down the line.

Consider Sustainable Upgrades

Sustainability is a growing priority for many homeowners and buyers. Consider incorporating sustainable upgrades into your renovation plans, such as improving insulation, installing energy-efficient appliances, or integrating renewable energy sources like solar panels. Not only can these improvements reduce your environmental impact, but they can also increase your home’s appeal to eco-conscious buyers.

Conclusion

Renovating a home in Gerrards Cross requires a careful blend of preserving character, adding modern conveniences, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. By understanding the local market, prioritising high-value renovations, and hiring reputable professionals, you can enhance your home’s appeal and value. With careful planning and execution, you can transform your home into a space that reflects your lifestyle while respecting the unique charm of Gerrards Cross.
